- When I saw the picture and hadn't read the story, my first reaction was "Where is this new roller coaster? I have GOT to ride this thing!" Then I read the story and saw it was described as a "roller coaster gone wrong." Trust me, this would make an awesome coaster.

- Jerry Well, some of their money goes to buying small rocks. You don't know that they don't also donate money to charities, including those that feed the poor and build schools. I'm sure there are some who think only of themselves, but those people exist at every economic level.

- My friend's mother was from Scotland. She was named Vinora and all her friends called her Nora. My friend thought this was lovely, so she named her daughter Vinora in honor of her mother. All the kids call her Vinnie. Can't win.

- If your family didn't move and you can find them in the 1930 census it is pretty easy to find them in the 1940 census. I was able to find my grandparents and my great-grandparents. Much to my surprise, my grandmother had a job! I had no idea that she had ever gone to work outside the home.

- The problem is that a chemical name does not equal a scary ingredient. A chemical name is simpley a description of the molecule. It gets me crazy when people complain that there are 'chemicals' in their food: Of COURSE there are chemicals in your food. EVERYTHING is made of chemicals.
